ABOUT
My name is Edwina Hanslo. I am a registered Counsellor, registered with the Association for Supportive and Holistic Counsellors (ASCHP).
I have a diploma in Counselling and Communication Skills from the South African College of Psychology and I have a particular interest in seeing families emotionally connected and tending to the emotional well-being of teenagers.
I believe in a counseling orientation that centers on the innate wisdom and ability of my clients. My role is to help clients to access this inner strength and provide them with more tools in an unconditionally positive and non-judgmental manner. My therapeutic approach encompasses a diverse range of techniques tailored to each client’s needs, prioritizing the provision of tools to help the client navigate their challenges effectively.
Counselors and psychologists are professionally bound to a code of ethics, must be registered with a professional governing board, and have a supervisor. I have followed these guidelines and adhere to the professional code of ethics.

“People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don’t find myself saying, “Soften the orange a bit on the right-hand corner.” I don’t try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds.”
– Carl Rogers
